It wasn’t easy getting to this point. When ADCMW dissolved, it took us by surprise and all we could think about was doing everything within our power to ensure that all of that organization’s good work over the years was not about to disappear forever. A small band of past board members worked to come up with possible solutions, and it quickly emerged that we wanted an organization that served the extensive creative community, and fostered collaboration, while also continuing the important efforts like The Paper Show and The Real Show.
Luckily, we bring with us a wealth of experience as to what works and what doesn’t work in trying to do those things. We hope to grow the Guild in a manner that is smart and sensible, while also striving to be inspirational. It is a tall order, but with your help, we know we are up to the task!
The launch of this site is only a small part in spreading our message, and bringing creative professionals together, but we hope it grows with us, eventually housing a wealth of information and showcasing jaw-dropping work from the best DC has to offer. We hope you are as excited about the future of DCCG as we are!
The DC Creative Guild was founded by Cliff Farbstein, Mary Coppola, and John Foster. We are proud to add the experience and know-how of past ADCMW board members Selena Robleto and Christopher Reese to round out our Board of Directors.
We look forward to serving you, the creative community, that makes DC our favorite city in the world.
